The bill sponsors returned to the table and offered amendment L.001 (Attachment A). The amendment strikes bill provisions that make vehicular homicide and vehicular assault crimes of violence and subject to a mandatory sentence to the Colorado Department of Corrections.  Also, instead of amending the offense of use of a mobile electronic device while driving that causes the death of another, the amendment repeals this offense. The amendment further lowers the fiscal note to zero.
